Worksheets can be created in several ways. A blank worksheet can be created through the Resource Browser, and then edited to display the desired information. The
Create Report command uses information already present in the drawing to create a worksheet. Worksheets can also be imported from other VectorWorks files and other spreadsheet programs.
If the same set of objects are typically used in your drawings, you can create a template file with a worksheet that serves as a “master price list” listing all the objects and their costs. Then, to create materials lists and cost estimates for a new design, simply import or reference the worksheet in the new drawing file.
